Make it something special
Collect your own horse's tail hair and we'll turn it into your very own ring. Embodying that special and unique bond between you and your horse. Follow the step-by-step guide below:
A bundle of horse hair:
Each hair must be at least 50cm in length. The hairs combined must be a minimum of 3mm diameter that equates to approximately 40 single hairs. You need to hold the cut end of the hairs together, so that they stay as one during transit (A rubber band is preferred over anything else). Any hair that is left over after making will be returned to you with your completed item.
Hair care:
Please don’t wash the hair before sending to us, as we will do that here. However, please remove any lumps of dirt and debris
Design Decisions:
This can be challenging, but no worries we are here to help. If you are unsure, we have a wealth of experience using colour combinations. Our most successful designs are made using a combination of 3 different colours of hair. The core, the outside surface braiding and the inside surfaces braiding. If you are fortunate enough to have three different horse hair colours available, then great; all you need to then decide is which colours are to go where? If on the other hand you only have one horse hair colour available, then you may need our help. When we receive your hair, we will make suggestions of the possible combinations available using your hair with a selection of our hairs to your choice.
Your chosen finger's ring size:
We can make to order a full range of ring sizes, including half sizes from 3.5 up to 11. If you don’t know your ring size, you can either visit a jeweller who will measure you. Postage and care:
Please post the hair in a protected waterproof package, for example a Jiffy Bag. Please ensure that your contact and order name listed at checkout is the same as on the return address section of the package. This will ensure that we know the horse hair is yours upon arrival. (Please do NOT ship wet horse hair as it will mildew in transit and likely be permanently ruined.)
